The Touch of Love Foundation, a non-profit
organization, has been providing a festive holiday
season for thousands of local disadvantaged
children and their families throughout the Las
Vegas Valley for the past 20 years.

The number of families we can provide for is
specifically determined by the contributions and
toys we receive. Since our conception in 1986, we
have assisted Safe Nest, an organization that
sponsors women and children who are victims of
domestic violence.
Several years ago, one of our volunteer’s daughters was
diagnosed with germ cell cancer. The emotional and financial
devastation they endured was catastrophic. This family brought
to light a new direction that our organization felt compelled to
pursue. We adopted families who had children in treatment for
cancer. In addition, we agreed to support families who had
children in treatment for cancer. In addition, we agreed to
support families who had recently lost a child to cancer. There
are happy moments too, when we are able to extend support to
financially challenged families with children in remission. The
funds and toys that we raise during the holidays enable us to
make this commitment to these well deserved families.
We reach out to the families who are no longer
receiving assistance from the shelter. Our recipients
are on their own with their children for the first time.
Providing assistance during the holidays relieves
significant pressure for these families.
In addition, we also continue to support the children
of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).
These children have been taken out of their homes for their own protection and made
wards of the state. Assistance has also been provided to Healthy Families an
organization that provides living arrangements for recovering addicts and their children.
This group boasts a significant percentage of success with their participants. Any toys that
have not found a home go to “Head Start”, a developmental program for pre-school
disadvantaged children.
Last year we provided Christmas for several “Katrina” families who had been relocated to
the Las Vegas Valley.
